Watersoluble Graphite Pencil Clouds. Endless Vision. I’m always looking up, exploring the skies and feeling the endless possibilities in billowing clouds.

Look Book offers a glimpse of how my art prints could look in your home space.
This piece captures the dramatic views I love over nearby farmers fields.

Do you have a dream of living somewhere other than where you do?

I've been dreaming for more years than I care to count about finding my home in the countryside.

Somewhere there is a small acreage to create a little idyll; a small refuge from the vasty uncertainty and chaos of the peopleage of town.

So begins our journey in the middle of the story. Preparing to sell a home, preparing mentally to buy a property and trying to be open hearted in the process. I have a long list of desires for the new place. In fact I can nearly smell and feel it. But I must try not to let my natural perfectionist tendencies to impact the path too much.

Tiny ceramic sculpture Portraits of a Bear and a Wolf originals, currently unfired, will become the foundation for bronze and silver casts created from molds. I hope to grow more in ceramic sculpture where I can manage to have a kiln of my own!

Preferred: a ranch or bungalow style home with a walk out basement would be ideal. Not too large. Easy to maintain. No carpets or at the least I'm happy to rip out the carpets and install hard flooring to make cleaning up after animals and people easier, make managing allergies easier for sure.

A big deck from the main floor to expand our living space and take advantage of the views. This offers a covered, secluded living space beneath it to the lower level.

A separate building for a studio. Expansive and cohesive with lots of natural light. I'm perfectly willing to design and build if we can afford. I'm thinking skylights or at least clerestory windows. So many dreams of this space it would be hard to nail them down in a few short sentences.

A pool and hot tub -  happy to add this. But much needed for myself and my daughter who both live with chronic and debilitating illnesses.

A pond and creek or strong spring. Good ground water, good well.

At least one big, beautiful, epic tree.

A small forest.

Maple trees for sugaring.

Space to plant gardens. Food and flowers!

Space to plant trees. Maple trees for sap, fruit trees and nut trees for food.

Space for a few animals - my horse! chickens, alpaca... you know the drill.

No mortgage if at all possible!

Goals are so important. Dreams and goals that are deeply tied to our motivational “why" are most likely to be worked toward.

Dealing with my illness and now my daughter's diagnosis has been the clarifying moment and catalyst for assertively moving forward.

Throughout all of this dreaming is a process of becoming. Of dancing with the possibilities and the realities.

A journey, an adventure and a dream on the way to becoming.

I can more clearly see how my art practice and business fits into this new, slower, country lifestyle.

I can see my meandering path to the big studio building that has large windows and a shield wall of vines that protect from summer heat. Flowers grow along this stoney path, nodding in the breeze and welcoming bees.

Space for health and healthy choices, space for supporting my daughter in her life, for supporting the family in their needs.

I can’t wait to get there.

Meanwhile, my waiting room will be my classroom!

Follow my journey. I’d love to have your company.
