Artefact Reborn

I'm exploring animal sculpture using bronze metal clay. I have to create a place to fire my work in the garage as any offgassing in the house is harmful especially for my daughter.

Here a little bronze wolf portrait, as yet unfired, is set within a sculpted forest.

Hopefully I can fire my bronzes soon! 💜❤💜

I’ve been fascinated with the long human history of creativity and delight in seeing artefacts unearthed that speak to long lost cultures and the beating human hearts that comprised them.

I suppose I love to imagine that my work could join the ranks of those unearthed treasures in some yet unwritten future. What message would I convey? How would I convey it?

Love, wonder and a call to Stewardship would be and are central to my work. I doubt this would change. I hope to go deeper into these themes as I continue to sculpt, paint and create wearable art work.
