Tiny Sculptures: Fine Art Jewelry Creativity & Challenges
Necessity and creativity walking together form the foundation for many artists' journeys. In my world, I walk the tension line between my own physical limitations due to a chronic illness, the needs of my family (particularly my daughter who has health struggles) and my art life/business. My painting practice often involves standing for hours obsessively working on a painting on my easel, or sitting for hours working on a piece on my table top easel. Physically either one of these positions have ramifications for my health and mobility.
As I delve further into creating my tiny sculpted art pendants, I've developed a way to sit more comfortably, ensconced on my living room sofa with my tiny easel supported in front of my eyes so that I'm not perched on a chair, leaning forward and hanging over the piece on a table. Where there's a will, there's a way. Isn't that wonderful?
Creativity is a powerful river that often requires new outlets.
How do you support your heart? Through creativity? Through wanders in the woods or days at the beach? A wild gallop or a relaxing hack around the edges of the hay field?
