Open Studio Home Tour

Good morning! How are you doing these fine Autumn days? Does it seem like Autumn gets shorter every year? Or is that just me?

This year Autumn feels like its speeding away like a runaway horse. Its been a busy summer with not much easel time and suddenly the pressure is on to paint! In some ways deadlines for shows has taught me to loosen up. It's either loosen up and get moving the paint around the canvas or don't make the show!

This year in mid November I am participating in the local United Way Holiday Home Tour which will be featuring the artists and makers from a cooperative to which I belong here in town. We have a shop called The Artisans Attic which has been open for business for more than 20 years! It's a wonderful group with fabulously talented people and I am so delighted to be able to participate with them.

Currently on my easel is this sky and landscape oil painting exploring my fascination and love of clouds and rural views.

If you're local, you should buy a ticket and come to this show! I'd love to meet you!
