My Horse, My Muse

Do you find yourself a little stuck sometimes? A little weary after a big event or project?

This happens to me after completing an intensive period of painting. Sometimes one painting alone will consume my energy and my spirit to a degree that requires respite in order to get back into painting gear.

I'm learning that doing something adventurous will often refresh my creative well. It will sometimes spark a new direction and energy in my studio practice. There is always so much to learn and explore.

Recently I decided to explore oils and cold wax. I'm craving texture and boldness.

It seems only natural that my horse Remi should be my muse in this endeavour.

I find myself obsessed with texture and colour, exploring the relationship between intentional mark making and serendipity.

If you're interested in owning this piece or commissioning your own, please email me. I'd love to chat.
